Anyone that has met Robin will have heard him say that he is a ‘behaviorist at heart’. He genuinely cares not only about what people learn, but more importantly what people DO with what they learn. His style of teaching is very practical and hands on allowing you to engage in a meaningful, provocative and memorable experience. 

Robin believes that deep down, everybody wants to excel and that people need to be challenged before they will change. His direct ‘feet on the ground’ approach and deliberate use of accelerated learning techniques are central to his success as a professional business consultant.

When you engage with Robin you become so much more than a client. Robin is committed to helping you change your inner attitude so that you can change your outer life. You can expect to be challenged both professionally and personally and Robin will be there to encourage you throughout your journey.

Robin is a specialist in his industry with over 30 years’ experience and is considered one of New Zealand’s foremost Adult Educators. He has worked with many high profile companies across New Zealand and around the world. He has extensive knowledge and experience in management training, skills based employee development, professional development and business coaching/mentoring programmes. In addition to his extensive experience, Robin holds a National Certificate in Business Studies, a Diploma in Adult Teaching and a Certificate in Training and Development. He is a senior consultant for the NZ Institute of Management (NZIM) South Island wide and an accredited 4QL educator with the Wilf Jarvis Foundation.

Outside of work, Robin is a devoted husband, father and granddad.  He would best describe himself as 'young at heart'. He is a passionate collector so be sure to ask to see the infamous Batman collection if you haven't already. An honest Kiwi bloke, he loves mucking about in his shed - building, creating, and unwinding from his busy working days. Robin also looks forward to working on several books in the coming years to channel and share his lifetime of knowledge and learning.

ROBIN RAWSON

Rebekah is passionate about helping others develop a greater awareness and gain access to what they need to enhance their personal wellbeing both at work and at home. After completing post-graduate study in Organisational Psychology at the University of Canterbury, she started her career with OPRA Psychology Group where she developed a special interest in psychometrics, particularly their use in the role of leadership development. She has worked with leaders and organisations in this capacity for over ten years and is thrilled to be able to deliver specialist services in corporate wellbeing.

Rebekah truly aspires to practice what she preaches and enjoys spending time doing things that she knows enhance her own wellbeing (and not just because there is good scientific evidence to back it up!). She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, yoga, family holidays, reading and walking with friends. She is also actively involved in her children’s school community and sporting interests.

Rebekah is a Registered Psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists Board. She is accredited in the use of a number of psychometric assessment tools, the Global Leadership Wellbeing Survey (GLWS), the MTQ Plus Assessment Tool, and is also a member of the New Zealand Association of Positive Psychology.

REBEKAH DAWSON

If you attend any workshop or session with Progress People, it's unlikely that Kathryn hasn't been involved in your experience. Kathryn is responsible for making sure our business runs smoothly and that every client receives an experience that exceeds their expectations .

 

Kathryn also brings her passion and particular skill set to the organisation specialising in Personal Brand. Kathryn knows that by developing in you a positive self-image and greater self-confidence, your business will flourish. Her Personal Brand workshops and coaching services are very self reflective and focus on developing your professional presentation, emotional connection and personal wellbeing to strengthen and enhance the way you represent yourself professionally. 

 

Her experience is strongly grounded in customer service and management working in varying customer based roles for the past 15 years. She had a successful career in banking which gave her invaluable experience in financial knowledge, budgets, financial analysis and business management. Skills which are essential in her role with Progress People. Her number one focus is customer experience and is very excited about the future of Progress People and what we will be able to offer.

Outside of work, Kathryn is a mum to two beautiful daughters and a qualified professional Makeup Artist. She enjoys spending time rediscovering what Canterbury has to offer though the eyes of her young children, latin dancing and regular exercise.

KATHRYN PEAT

Energy, curiosity and enthusiasm are probably the words that are most often used to describe Fiona.  She believes that everyone has what they need within them and that with the right questions and support, they are capable of realising their full potential and leading themselves and others with positive influence to have positive impact. 

 

She holds a NZ Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching, bringing a strong understanding and application of learning design, development and delivery, along with a commitment to meeting the needs of diverse learners and communicators. She believes that the gold in any well-facilitated workshop is the sharing of stories and experiences to bring learning to life and that follow up action and accountability are crucial to embed real change. She is also studying Transformative Coaching, an ICF (International Coach Federation) recognised qualification.  

Fiona loves to work collaboratively and strategically with a range of partners, drawing on their expertise to scale the impact of her work. Her strengths are her ability to relate to a range of people, her energy, curiosity, willingness to ask challenging questions with kindness and her strategic thinking.  She holds and has held a range of leadership roles in her life, including in workplaces, at home, in sport and in her community.  Fiona’s experience includes time in both central and local government, customer service, health, safety and wellbeing and learning and development, as well as volunteer roles in community organisations and Lifeline Aotearoa.

Fiona came to New Zealand, from Ireland, in February 2010, and has since made New Zealand her home with her husband and daughter.  Keeping physically fit, music, food, coffee and books are some of the things that make her tick.  Her consultancy, Cara Consulting, is a leadership, wellbeing and learning partner that provides coaching, training and facilitation services.

Those who have known Jonathan for any length of time know that he is passionate about making a difference, a passion that he translates into his teaching and mentoring.  Jonathan is a practical coach and facilitator, with a particular focus on relating a meaningful and real experience.  By engaging with Jonathan, you get someone who is committed to supporting you in everything you do.  Leadership doesn’t only happen at work, it happens in all aspects of your life.

 

Jonathan is an experienced business leader, having established DETA Consulting, now New Zealand’s largest consultancy specialising in energy management and sustainability strategy.  Through the evolution of DETA, Jonathan experienced the highs and lows of leading a business, and all things in between.  He knows how lonely it can be at the top, and the challenge of balancing work with family and other commitments.  His particular skills are team building, change management and professional development.  Jonathan is a Chartered Professional Engineer and active member of the Institute of Directors.

 

As a passionate sportsperson, Jonathan enjoys contributing to the sporting community in addition to playing himself.  Much of his free time is currently spent coaching and supporting the children in their various sporting and other activities.  He also enjoys spending time in the outdoors, particularly tramping with family in the beautiful New Zealand environment.

Rebecca has spent 15 years in the corporate sector developing and leading teams. She is passionate about sharing her leadership knowledge to help others learn the craft of leadership and achieve beyond what they thought was possible.

She brings an energy and enthusiasm with her that is infectious. With a background in operations, Rebecca has a good understanding of the shift work environment and the impact this has both on teams and individuals. Her industry experience includes manufacturing, agriculture, science and technology.

Rebecca’s sweet spot is working with emerging leaders to help them understand what leadership is and identify the strengths they can harness as they start on their leadership journey. She also works as a sounding board for established leaders who are working through a period of change or want to go deeper into the leadership journey.

Rebecca is also a qualified Health Coach through PreKure, understanding that personal wellbeing is an essential tool for effective leadership.

Rebecca is located in the Hawkes Bay, in the coastal township of Te Awanga, where she lives with her husband and three active boys. This is where her consultancy, Stones Throw Consulting Ltd is based, specialising in leadership development, coaching and team building.
